Our desire to accomplish our faith goals will ultimately determine our spiritual health.
As we are being transformed from glory to glory, the desire to be more and to do more for the Lord should be a no-brainer for God’s children.
Rick Warren, senior pastor of Saddleback Church, highlights that in order to achieve our faith goals, we need to “start managing our time well by making goals that are focused, attainable, individual, trackable, and heartfelt.” (Rick Warren, “Biblical Goals Are FAITH Goals”. Retrieved from https://pastorrick.com/biblical-goals-are-faith-goals/). Hence, it is significant for us to know what we need to accomplish with full spiritual discernment, knowing that this will take a process, yet believing that we will reach our end in mind.
Granting that our spiritual goals will enrich not just souls but our holistic being, we need to realize that in our pursuit to becoming the best version of ourselves, we must have the discipline, and the passion to reach our desired result.

The end-all and be-all of our Christian walk is to be like Christ - in our words, thoughts, and deeds. Our faith goals, while personally enriching us, will, in the end, bring us more into Christlikeness. Whether it be Bible reading, attending church regularly, or deepening our spiritual connections in our faith community, we do all these things to mirror God’s transforming power and to be salt and light in this world.
As young Christian professionals, our faith goals will be met with scrutiny as the world will not understand our journey. However, TAKE HEART.
Bear in mind that fulfilling our faith goals will surely spell breakthroughs not only in our walk with God, but also, in our career, our health and our relationships.
There might be hits and misses, ebb and flow, and highways and byways in our journey towards accomplishing our earnest desires. When the going gets tough, we need to remind ourselves to keep on keeping on because we can do all things through Christ, who gives us strength (Phil. 4:13).
May your faith goals bring you closer to God and may the Lord grant you grace, and peace to stand firmly in the truth as you walk closely in His steps.
