In life, I believe money is very important. We use it to build security. Through it, we are able to provide shelter for our families, put food on the table, and meet our daily needs. Without money, it would be extremely difficult—if not impossible—to survive. That is why I believe it is crucial to have wisdom not just in earning but also in handling it.
“Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.” — Ecclesiastes 7:12 (NIV)
Money can offer temporary security, but wisdom provides lasting protection. It is not about how much we earn but how we manage it. No matter how much we make, if we do not have the wisdom to handle it, it will not be sustainable in the long run. We will end up merely surviving instead of truly living—and I believe that is not God’s plan for us. He wants us to enjoy life with purpose.

Money may build a house, but wisdom creates a home. Money can give us a lifestyle, but wisdom sustains it. That is why it is not just about what we have—it is about how wisely we manage what we have been given.
And most importantly, we must never forget where it all comes from.
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today” — Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)
Everything we have—our work, opportunities, skills, resources, and even the strength to earn—is a gift from God. It is by His grace that we are able to provide and prosper. The more we understand this, the more we should seek His wisdom in managing what He has entrusted to us. And the more we recognize that everything we have is a gift, the more we will respond with gratitude, humility, and faithfulness.

May we never forget God’s grace in our lives, even in the pursuit of money. May we always honor Him with everything we have.
Reflections:
1. Am I managing my finances with wisdom, or am I simply getting by?
2. In what ways can I honor God with the resources He has entrusted to me?
3. Do I still recognize God’s grace behind everything I have, or have I started depending more on money than on Him?
Lord, thank You for all the blessings You have given me.
Help me handle what I have with wisdom and gratitude.
Teach me not just how to earn but how to honor You with everything
You have entrusted me. Keep my heart still, and teach me to trust You.
When I am afraid of uncertainties, remind me of Your love and grace.
May I be faithful in both little and much.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
