POWERHOUSE DEVOTIONALS: UNSTOPPABLE DREAMS

All of us have dreams. We are all busy working diligently to reach them. But what if in the midst of our exciting journey, we face struggles and obstacles that would hinder us in realizing them?

One of the biblical characters in the Old Testament who embodied persistence despite hardships was Joseph the Dreamer. His story reminds us to keep moving despite uncomfortable and undesirable circumstances (Genesis 37-43).

Many of us young professionals are immersed in reaching our goals. We are unstoppable. If we face storms in reaching them, we do not stop. We keep moving.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." - James 1:12

This verse in the book of James reminds us to persevere and to pursue our goals even in the midst of the storm. We are admonished not to be discouraged, but rather to persevere and have patience. We need to remind ourselves that there is a blessing in every storm. Hence, in every trial that we face, we need to hold on to God’s victory. Moreover, these trials will help us to be bolder and stronger and to be courageous

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." - Isaiah 41:10

Remember that in achieving our dreams, we are not alone. Our God is with us. So we take a deep breath, move forward, and with an optimistic spirit say… “With faith, patience, and perseverance, I will reach my dreams."
