May 18, 2025, Sunday - EFC Powerhouse held its 5th Powerhouse Weekend of the year entitled “Holy Homies” - a topic which explored the biblical truth that humanity was never meant to do life alone.
Held at EFC House of Bread, the fellowship started with a spirit-filled worship led by the PH Band followed by a keynote message that left attendees inspired, challenged, and more connected.

“Our busyness and time on social media overtake friendships, making it very casual,” said Bishop Paul Hernandez, the keynote speaker of the night, who explained how modern communication and technology affect how we interact with one another.

The central message of the night was built on Genesis 2:18— “It is not good for the man to be alone.” Bishop Paul emphasized that this verse goes beyond marriage and speaks to the core human need for companionship, support, and spiritual unity.
“What makes friendship so precious?” This question was answered by Bishop Paul by listing and explaining six various qualities that define a true friend.

As the message came to a close, Bishop Paul urged the young professionals to make casual connections more meaningful. “If you don’t spend quality time with them, you are never going to move from a casual connection to something more meaningful. It takes time to deepen friendship.”
